I have returned --
By the way--
I'm back from my lovely study abroad trip to London-town(: If you haven't noticed :)
How glorious a visit was it, you ask? Gloriously-glorious!
I adore London now. Oh, if only you had seen what I had seen when I was seated in one of those red double-decker buses that London is famous for. To top things off, our Double-Decker was posh, because it was rented so it was brand new with a fabulous ventilhation system and ideal windows for tourists greedy eyes.
We were at a stop-light at a round-about.
Our eyes were all hungry for
The windowpanes gave us a panoramic view of the city when we left the curtains folded up at the top of the screen.
Outside of our red-capsule the sun was setting behind the cathedrals and tall buildings; making the tower windows glitter with an amber gold.
A whirr of red buses whizzing past chic local pedestrians, patiently waiting to get to the other side of the road; horns honking, tourists clicking and shuffling about in their seats on the tour bus , reaching and grabbing frantically for their cameras as to capture this sensational moment. A moment Londoners seemed to be oblivious to rushing about their ways--
ah ! Citizens in heaven , think not twice of their blessed surroundings.
I myself, could not have been bothered wasting such a precious instant , reaching for my camera; only to trap the image in my disposable for future pervading eyes' , viewing pleasure. I swore to myself while on the bus, I wouldn't do this.
No, those few seconds where the setting sunlight hit the green trees lining the river Thames , flowing throughout the city like liquid silver-- the river this time of day was magnificent therapy for tired eyes, how could I molest it by stashing it away --like any cheap thrill.
