WINTER BREAK IS COMING!
I have a list of books I want to read as soon as Winter Break begins. They don't have anything in common at all--they're all of different topics and reading levels , but all in all for this year ONE of my New Year resolutions will be to read the following books by next year this time!

Habby Bereday
Salut!
Just today I got my sister a gift for her birthday which was on MONDAY! Happy Belated Birthday! lol. Does that make me a jerk. I never got her a real gift before so this is really nice.
But why so late you ask? Uhh..funds...
Well, actually not that but this week as you know was crazy madness. Presentation, Exam--and a term paper which was due last Sunday--would you believe 7 whole pages on how women are under-represented globally. Yes-- indeedy they are.
So ' judge me heart, lightly'-- I had a bit of a hard time this week.
I got her a book and a bookmark--I think it was a good choice since its a pretty lite read. The book is:
Last week when I had to go get my "presentation" novel --The Secret Agent--I ran into this one. The bookmark was Cinderella--Awww. lol
Anyway she seemed to really like it. Yay, score!
Gosh, Barnes & Noble has sooo many pretty books and layed out so nicely! Its like the
starbucks of bookstores. (Forgive that :) Don't get me wrong I don't read books on the basis of prettiful covers; but it doesn't hurt to have a nice little setting to push the sales just a wee bit further.
Soo many divinely colored books and journals, I almost left with half the store; I mean, what DOESN'T look like a good read there? Oh and have you seen the whole little "Egyptology, Wizardology, Fairyopolis, " cutsie books? Oh how Gorgeous, I almost bought one just because of how fantastic the cover looked. It's like a series or something. An example of one is below.
NOW ofcourse this is just a picture of the cover , the real one is bejeweled to the moon! --and embossed with silver and the gold binding is exquisite! I don't know as to whether they're actually meant to be read, lol, maybe just put up somewhere to admire the cover and the amazing artwork inside. Beats me, but I want one now.

PRESENTATIONS DAY!
Yes ! I had my presentation today; mine sucked..
NOTTTTT!
OMG it was GREAT,well,as great as a presentation can be...
But,It even took like the whooole 15 mins. YEE-HAW!
And forget the question and answers at the end.
Man, I had that sh-- down like NOBODYS business.
I am so cool. No, I am too cool.
And to add , everyone seemed genuinely interested, the Prof..the class...ME!
It's a good thing I didn't have any coffee this morning , cuz then I get really jumpy and jittery. Yeah, I definetly have to keep that in mind for future reference.
So, all is well. I can now just sit back --relaxxx--and look forward to my class trip to London coming up.
Woo-hoo.

the world as we know it..
It seems certain judgements arise in your head when you're under a lot of stress. Judgements on character etcetera.I'm not under any reasonable amount of stress; but its funny I said that(typed, yeah i know) because thats the exact point I'm going to make right there.
I ask you to bare with me on this.
Okay, have you ever felt bad for feeling bad? Like say for example something you wanted to go right like oh say the day you had, just wasn't perfect, or even near perfect at that and you just get pissed off like " Shit--what the hell happened here?" and then you--
(-- okay sorry I'm gonna cut the "second-person" crap, cuz this is about me, and my own situations , not about you or anyone else. But feel free to agree or disagree for that matter. Why do I always make things difficult ??)
Then ,I all of a sudden feel gut wrenching remorse for getting pissed off about something so goddamn trivial, when other people ; millions of other people are going through something so unimaginably horrific or even something just 2 degrees worse than I on a daily basis.
Honestly,I mean who cares how much worse , just worse than me you know.
Come on, don't get me wrong here , I'm not Mother Theresa or anything, nor am I claiming to be--geez..its just I mean, does anyone else feel this way ;like ALL the time? This is where you find out its no genuine claim to saintly-hood on my part cuz , get this,
I hate the fact that I feel this way!! Its like I can't really pity myself when something goes wrong, cuz then its like I hate myself even more for pitying myself for something "small"; even though it bothers me!!! rawr!!! Thats when I feel like the icon up there.
and then I'm back to square one!wtf.
I always end up arguing with myself saying "Who the F cares what other people are going through--you have know say in their problems, you don't owe them anything! There are people with so much more than you that couldn't give a rats A-- how you feel."
Ooh you know what I think this is...
The whole devil/angel scenario. yeah, yeah...would you believe I just came up with this conclusion now? lol Hmm..
Maybe everyone goes through this to some extent. I know everyone does its just; shyt it really wears you out. After the whole argument with myself, I usually just feel drained and end up going to bed. Try to forget about said problem. The so called angel wins about 98% of the time.
Man, I had nothing much else to right about; but this was on my mind.

Yes, me! Ofcourse with the Vitruvian man; although re-drawn by me; I must give SOME credit to L. Divinci...lol...
But dammit that copy is in my house and its HUUUGE! Took forever...so can you please give me some credit on that one Leonardo?
ACTUALLY I'm not showing off anything really;(*cough) bullshit.. but, I would like to share it with you guys.
Plus, it makes my page look damn good, do you agree?-_-

These are sketches that are basically what I had as warm up's in class. I haven't started a painting course yet so these are all basically graphite and charcoal images. The ones that look like negatives are used on a special paper that is black/d.gray graphite thats been scratched on. I really wish I could have my career that has something to do with the Arts ; but lets face it ..what kind of living would I have with that.

Okay--
today there is nothing in particular I want to talk about but there is one area of concern I just thought of ; that I'd like to cover.
When is the next Project Runway coming on?
That's basically what I did on Wednesdays after classes. I hate when my schedules get f-d up. Its no fair.
Well moving on. O' no the 15th is coming up fast--Ahhh! For those of you that have been keeping up you know I have a presentation on that day. Luckily, after seeing someone give their presentation yesterday on Stem Cell research; it didn't seem so bad all together. Maybe it will go great.
Guess what guys. I missed Fajr this morning. What a bad person I am. What is wrong with me!!!!! I will make it up now when I go home from classes. I hate that I did that. It won't happen again--I hope.
Sorry about the lame-o topic today. I didn't even put a title on it.

I saw the Borat movie last night. Damn it was hilarious. I don't want to get into too much detail but ; damn. Thats all I can think to say. I couldn't BELEIVE how overtly offensive it was! But in a good way; sometimes. Just how offensive you ask? Oh lets say-- scale 1-10 its about-- A thirteen.
Yes that bad. Yea, during some scenes you didn't know whether to laugh or become defensive--Everyone in the theatre ended up laughing ofcourse;Uhm- more like guffawed!
Eww--uhm I have to warn you though; there are a few scenes that are straight up DISGUSTING. Seriously though.
The hideousnous of some scenes will forever haunt me until I reach my grave. AAA-khas!!
Ahh but the numerous gloriously funny scenes make the NASTY all the more bearable (:

Something Strange This Way Comes
A Series of Strange Events.
Something very weird has been happening; and it's been happening for quite some time now.
I'd like to share it with you all.
I've recently noticed; where I live; that on the top of buildings , preference being Gas Stations like Racetrack ,Exxon..etc
"Owls" have begun to "occupy" the roofs of these buildings.
Now, you're probably thinking "WTF" and I assure you I was thinking the same thing the first time I saw this.
Moving on now-- as if things couldn't get any weirder, I would like to also inform you all that these "Owls" are not real. Yes, I said NOT real.
They're infact statues of some sort. I've made sure..
They don't match the buildings they are on top of , and they seem to multiply over night!
There was 3 on top of the Exxon Gas station about a month ago, and just to inform; they're scattered helter skelter, not in any order or arranged fashion. Now, yesterday on top of the same exact building I counted 7 of them strewn around the top of this building...still all facing North...
I don't know what to make of these strange occurences, and I want to make it clear to you all that this is no pretense or lie on my part whatsoever. If it was I think that would be more peculiar then the story itself.Some of you might still be hesitant to believe this news so I've decided to take a picture with my cellphone of one of these owl occupied buildings.
1a.
I realize its fuzzy but I promise I will take a clearer shot when I run out of gas I've decided I will go to that gas station. Or the others...
Lets press on.
I don't know why I have taken it upon myself to explain these happenstances but I feel it absolutely necessary to get to the bottom of this.
When I showed my sister,4 days ago, she was somewhat at a loss of explanation for a few seconds, laughed nervously a little (as I did) but then as all rational minds eventually have to come terms with the "uncanny", she stated after we were driving past the stop light that "clearly they must be there to scare off other birds from perching those roof tops."
Hmm..
This quenched my thirst for an alibi for a few days.
Oh and to inform you all. I live 5 minutes away from the "first sighting" (see pic 1a). So we drive by it everyday.
Yes so this explanation carried us over, ( she was involved by now as well ); till Yesterday.
November 1st 2006.
The Second Sighting
We were headed to the mall and at this point we forgot all about the .."Owls". Okay driving down far away from sight 1a; there it was.
THE SECOND OWL. Sitting quite alone on top of a Chinese restaurant. Yes , it was the same exact kind of owl this owl was unaccompanied with its back was facing North..
Ah yes,now you see the significance of my curiosity!
Needless to say, we were at the very least.."questioning" and the very most..."afraid?" no, not afraid .lol .certainly not afraid.Although, some might be.
Naturally, this only seemed to fuel our fascination with this very peculiar very abnormal sequence of events.
While shopping through the mall later on...I knew this whole affair was now something I couldn't just ignore.
So on our drive back home we made a point to ofcourse drive past the second sighting again just to make sure it was really there. As expected, it was.
I've come to the terms of only, so far two logical explanations.
Scenario A--
A.) A gang of kids whose trademark is an "owl" have decided to leave there mark randomly on top of buildings by waking up late at night and "perching" them on the rooftops of unsuspecting buildings.
Sometimes leaving more than one and/or coming back to put more and making them look like they multiply, just to up the ante-- thus making them more noticeable to bystanders like me.
(I'm sure they're get a kick out of this ; High-5!)
Scenario B--
B.)A bizzare cult of gargoyle/roaming Owls awake at night and multiply in number ;face North to salute their King and await further insiduous instructions to take over the world as we know it. They can only roost on gas stations and 2 star restaurants , due to the fact that they know that no one really looks up there anyway.
(Apocaplyse of the Owls?)
Has anyone else noticed?

With these two explanations I have come to the resolution that :
1a.)I will either think the whole episode absolutely-riotosly HILARIOUSLY-hilarious ..maybe in fact,the funniest damned bizzare prank I've ever seen or heard of.
or
2b.) I will make this my soul mission to inform and gather the troops..ahh but who will beleive me!!!! GRR.. Actually I don't know what I'd do..but if it is the latter..
Here is a picture I found that is similar to the type of Owl they are.
Mind you, they do not look this real ..And I haven't seen the front of their faces...
But I wanted you to have a general picture of what we're looking out for.
P.S Please Beware of Owls occupying your neighborhood.We just don't know what they're capable of...
