I like fashion a lot
Me love fashion a lot. No Topic really today, its pretty late and the trick-or-treaters have stopped ringing our doorbell finally! It hasn't been that bad this year though. Not like last year. Ahhh Halloween is over. :( I like Halloween. Its just so ...nice!
Anyway back to fashion. I don't know where that came from but I was bored @ work today and started looking through some magz I got from mi sister. She has like 1 billion kazillion of them in her room, her car trunk , under her bed, (under my bed )..and wherever theres space anywhere in the house. A waste of money , but they're mainly subscribed etcetera so she got a good discount. Or so she says.Or not.
Anyway I think I enjoy reading them because you can escape this kind of dull drab of everyday university/work/home life. You see glitz, glamour etcetera and just by flipping through the glossy pages you feel a bit a part of that world. I know its not a perfect world, in fact , after reading some of the articles I thank god I don't depend on the fashion industry for more than its glittery cover stories and fashion pics. It's so hectic and weird and superficial when you dig deep into its core; the Fashion World is. But thats exactly what you're NOT supposed to be doing when looking through the pages. You're supposed to be getting away from that.Theres nothing substantial worth digging through! The whole point is just to admire its pretty shiny surface :)

hello again my darling friends and strangers.
Oh you won't BELIEVE the headache I have this morning; man! Forget the neck pain; I don't know how I slept last night but I'm sure it has something to do with taking a really late shower and going to bed with my hair somewhat wet. Yeah I know, bad idea; but I was up pretty late and I didn't want to wake up again to take another early shower. Well technically I guess it was an early shower.. hmm..
! WARNING !
Sleeping with hair wet or damp could result in semi-frozen shoulder muscles and or throbbing neck pains. Not to mention an uncomfortably damp pillow.
Just thought I'd inform you all. Yes its true, well ofcourse its true, but its a fact as well.I remember my doctor saying something like that last time.
Yes , last time! But it was like 2 years ago; so I slipped up twice in two years.

That was more for me than anyone else.
Guess what I have this GINORMOUSLY huge presentation that I have to give on Nov.15th. (I shudder to think). But you know I have to come to terms with it sooner or later. Plus in perfect ME fashion, I have yet to start on it! Okay, you see it has to be about a political current issue or a "scholarly" book/film pertaining to politics in way or another. I guess that Borat film is out of the question.
Oh and uh, I didn't mention it just has to be 15 minutes long! Oh yeah sure, just talk about it for 15 minutes that should be fine. Yeah not a problem at all. Just whiz the facts out and mumble for 900 seconds. Quel horreur! :(. Did you ever stop and think about how long 15 minutes is? Geez louise. I'll tell you how long it is ;its about oh...Forever. You know I don't have a problem with presentations, in fact I'd rather them than tests, but I've never had to give a full-length drawn out 15min presentation . Not since Highschool, but you know they didn't care. And what was it about like some kind of fully directed persuasive speech with guidelines from here to the moon. You can't get that wrong. You can go on for 20minutes. No one ever listened to anyone anyway. I didn't like that.
I've given many 10 minute ones though in Uni, and you know they even let you pass with a shoddy oh say 8mins..etc..But 15mins; no less, and no more; he said, but we don't have to worry about the latter. No siree I won't go a minute over: not me Dr. Hoight.
And yes 5 minutes makes a difference ; 300 effing secs makes a difference.
Ahh well.

I have a knack for this
The time is coming soon! Can you all feel the excitement? It's gonna be great, I hope. I can't wait to see all of London, finally! Last time I went ; guess what I stayed for 3 days. Ew? It was just a transit. Anyway, I really like all of Europe. I don't think London would be my first choice but its still really nice. And whats better than getting a course credit for it! The course is called British Culture and Politics, and I so needed a foreign politics course on my transcript anyway! Can you beleive the school is going to pay for the whole trip? WHat! Yea, I'm a very lucky girl. YAY.
Okay enough about all of that.
How was everyones Eid? Those of you who celebrate it ;I don't know Ramadan went by super fast this year. What do you think? I sort of miss it. I like the whole vibe of it. It just feels different; different holy. Okay thats a lame attempt in describing it. Duh, its a holy month. Forget it.

Worn-OUT? not yet but I'm close...
Yeah classes. (+big fat sigh+) Those of you who are still held hostage in some form of higher education know what i'm talking about. I'm just tired of the whole deal. I mean it's not like I won't get over it cuz I'll have to anyway, but thats not the point i'm getting at. Its just school in general. Why is it such a drag? Okay, I'm a junior attending university and I think i have senioritis a little 2 soon. Too many classes, i mean some are interesting and all but its getting up in the morning and the homework in the evenings, and the presentations on Tuesdays, and group discussions....
It goes on , and on and on,and on.. and then when I think about it, I mean my goodness gracious , heavens to murgatroid..are you telling me I've been in someform of "schooling" for 16 years straight! And I still have about 6-7 more too go...ughh.. oh god have mercy. I knooow i know, i love learning, i know that learning is a very good thing, but i am just tiiiiirreeed of it...I mean come on, after the first TEN years you have to admit it gets a little redundant...But basically kids it goes something like this:
"Okay honey-baby-- you have 4 years to yourself; ages 1-4, so don't waste them all in one place. After running around free for 2 1/2 of those 4 years you'll have 2 eventually get introduced to the "classes".
*DUN DUN DUNNNNN>>>
Ah yes the classes, it was the best of times ; it was the worst of times, the latter seems to stick longer; but nevertheless be happy little one its good for you. (you'll see)
After Elementary you'll have middle school, after middle school you'll have high school, after highschool you'll have to apply to a University of your choice ...or scratch that... your PARENTS choice-- oh and remember all the while we expect mostly A's if not all, but we know you're human so we allow the following 5-6 B's and 2c's, (use them sparingly)! Those are exact amounts. (In this world there is no such thing as the Letter's D and F. They just do not exist. So don't waste your time thinking about them--unless you're playing an instrument! And in that case we do prefer the Piano! FYI)
YES?! moving on.
Okay and then when you get your bachelors degree, that won't be enough cuz...well its just NOT... you'll move on to get a Masters or hell why not get into another School of your choice, you can choose from Medical or Law school.
So after you take those entrance exams and pass (cuz you will), you'll have 3+ years more of schooling where you'll learn a more refined form of whatever you learned the past 18 years. But don't worry after those years of fun you"ll have to get serious , no more joking and having fun reading those textbooks no--
you'll have to finally get a JOB!!!!(*relief)
..so nothing before that "JOB" was work??????? Godfriggingshitfudammit...
lol, I know what you're thinking "well damn, when you put it like thaaat!" Nah, its not all that bad but it feels that way sometimes. Oh everyone don't mind me I'm only venting a bit of frustration from the past week-- 2 midterms, and 2 essays all due.
I kid you NOT! But after this Thursday everything will be all gravvvyy.....
Atleast Until Monday--cuz Monday we'll have presentations..and after presenations another test...and then some more quizzes, another presentation................

no. blogspot has not fallen from grace yet! j/k actually i honestly just haven't had time with classes and all.so hello everyone. im not dead, to those of you who read this; i'm well and fine. anyway. let me think of a topic. yes!!! i know Guess what? I 'm going 2 the UK with my government class this Jan!!! yay. its a study abroad trip. the class i'll be taking is "british culture and politics" doesnt that sound scrumptious? yes it does don't lie. anyway. i m sooo excited! it's going 2 be perfect i just know it! i just do. inshallah ofcourse, god only knows either way, but i think its going 2 be great. and it gets EVEN better. the school pays for EVERYTHING. and i mean everything. tickets.busfare.tuition.hotel accom.food.extras.books the whole shabang. i'm happy. we get to see all those historical places like stonehenge and canterbury, etc...plus a tour of london town:) yummy. i'm happy. thats all i can say. i hope things go well. its a senior level course but they allowed me to take it. OH and plus i got a partial scholarship 2. o' man i'm ecstatic. I can't believe i didnt tell u all earlier! i found out i was eligible last week and signed up. well anyway. all is well and i hope for the best ofcourse. good luck hayat! lol. anyway its a long away, but just thought i'd fill ya in on my happy news. okay well. ta ta
