To begin; here is an image of the "Cave", for you to get a better understanding ok?





On reference to Plato's allegory of the "CAVE" , I have to repeat what many know now and recognize as "the obvious". This allegory was amazing and so perfectly put, that it fits in many of our worlds problems. The story goes that we are all in a cave (all meaning humans) and we are facing the wall of the cave as "prisoners"; as prisoners behind us is a roadway, and then behind that is a flickering fire. Mind you, all of this is still inside the "cave". While we are all in this "cave" , there is an exit to "the light" or the outside behind us. In this allegory, very few of us actually find this "Light" or pathway out of the cage. But the few of us who do find it, first off they want to run back and tell some of their fellow "prisoners" and say "LOOK WHAT IS OUTSIDE, LOOK WHAT I HAVE FOUND FOR US". Now this is all well and fine if the others would follow easily; but we as humans would reply naturally and even sometimes angrily "No! I don't want to see what is outside of this cave! I am safe here. I am secure. Why wander to places unknown, when this is fine!" Sadly very few "see the light", but those who do, are still in a state of angst and turmoil, because they so want the others to fully understand what they have been enlightened upon. Why do we choose security instead of true freedom?


Now where does this beautiful Knowledge by Plato come in to contact with what my final anaylsis is??
I was going to go into a lengthy detail about how it references to my point but I have found a much higher and worthy example below. Please read it all carefully. Once you connect the concepts you will see it was there all along :)

i know thats random but I've been thinking about it lately. Things will be great if I just get my effing degree. by the way my degree will be in Gov. Poli.Sci. And no , i don't want to be president! why do people always ask that?? I chose poli. sci cuz I wanted "something' in the realm of Gov, so i could somehow get a head start in Law School. And I didnt want legal studies cuz i heard that it just messes you up when you take LSAT.

Man o man, what a long road ahead of me.. But its okay? right? I mean law school is going to be a killer, but I've decided this is something I truly want to do. Did you know that all law schools (especially the competitive ones) forcefully have to fail a certain percentage in each class???? Messed up right?

I don't wanna become a lawyer thats an advocate...Thats the lawyers you see on tv fighting in court with cases. No, when I get my J.D (Juris Doctorate) <--damn i love that title...when i get it , and ofcourse take my bar exam, I want to become a legal advisor to some kind of governmental agency. uhm, let me rephrase that, INTERNATIONAL governmental agency ;) ie (United NATIONS babeh)

You know what else? I only want this degree, job, etc..for the Title. Money is good too, but its definetly not a priority, ...well i guess it is a priority, since that position ; if i get it,inshallah.. will pay a fair share of money. So i suppose it is still about the $ too..but the title still is HOTTT!
I guess thats a little prideful, but its not like I'd get it for free? I'll have 2 work for those degrees.
Oh JUST GET ME THERE!!!! Get me on the jury counsel for the UN! GET ME my law degree!! damn, get me my Bachelors degree first! lol

I'm a loser sometimes. But it seems so great! ok but anyway. Enough dreaming for today, if i want any of that I'll have to keep up the good grades. And to keep up the good grades means go and finish my Poli. Sci. essay, and read The (effing) Republic....

life is so bizzare. one minute everything is okaay...and goin smooth..and something so trivial seems like its a dillema...but then BAM something gets you, and how bad the feeling is when it really hits you. I don't want to go into detail about what happened but lets say right now while i'm typing this it feels like EVERYTHING is going downhill aaaall at once. u know when it all just throws itself in your face and you can't handle it, suddenly just thinking about what you'll have to do to fix all of it...is soo...tiring...soo completely draining. How can I fix it? i'm thinking that...but i know part of it i can with sooo much hard work. its my own fault. but then the other part...its truly TRULY in God's hands. There is nothing here that can fix it , nothing here that I can control. Its just "up there" floating around..waiting for time to be my judge. I have to go through 14 agonizing hours before I know exactly how awful and how unbelievable a rut I'm really in. Its so scary, I have no patience, but I feel like " how could it be so bad?" i mean really how would I cope with it if it turns out the wrong way?? its 50/50 right now, chances are leaning towards the bad half, but it wouldnt make sense if it happens. How did it get this way? All in just a few hours.
Imagine! At 9am this morning things were super, the most important and time pressing thing on my mind was "what will I wear to school today?" "what we will be taught in class?" and then by 12 noon...The defining moment ..+sigh+....But get this, this now "problem" was something i was proud of at first!! I was showing this "problem" off??? Only for it to blow up in my face..I mean everything is going downhill at once now...everything...all at once...but i don't seem to crack on the surface, when under pressure... i dont "not" think of the problem ...I can't get it out of my mind. What if things go wrong? WHAT IF THE VERDICT IS IN FAVOR OF DISASTER?? I would be finished. I hope I will be able to shrug this off tomorrow.

No, really im pissed off, i hate showing work that isn't good..and to make matters worse I payed$60 dollars for the damned art "kit"( which, mind you, is a ziplock back of ...let me see..a compass, 1 sketch pad, 1 poster pad/bristol, and 2 paintbrushes.. theres some other shyt 2...but who cares?) geeeeez.... I was like..Waalleee if my work doesnt look good... I mean, art is my minor...but I love real art, like painting landscapes, sketching faces...i mean i'm really good @ that stuff...seriously..but this cutting and glueing shit is just NOT working..i mean 1st grade shit and then the B! has us presenting this trash...I hate her. walahi, waa gudaafed.. some1 needs 2 tell her to put her ugly shit up there... then on top of that, she tells me after i glued some shapes on the page:

Half a lifetime ago, I worked in this now-empty space. And for 40 days after the attacks, I worked here again, trying to make sense of what happened, and was yet to happen, as a reporter.
All the time, I knew that the very air I breathed contained the remains of thousands of people, including four of my friends, two in the planes and -- as I discovered from those "missing posters" seared still into my soul -- two more in the Towers.
And I knew too, that this was the pyre for hundreds of New York policemen and firemen, of whom my family can claim half a dozen or more, as our ancestors.
I belabor this to emphasize that, for me this was, and is, and always shall be, personal.
And anyone who claims that I and others like me are "soft,"or have "forgotten" the lessons of what happened here is at best a grasping, opportunistic, dilettante and at worst, an idiot whether he is a commentator, or a Vice President, or a President.
However, of all the things those of us who were here five years ago could have forecast -- of all the nightmares that unfolded before our eyes, and the others that unfolded only in our minds -- none of us could have predicted this.
Five years later this space is still empty.
Five years later there is no memorial to the dead.
Five years later there is no building rising to show with proud defiance that we would not have our America wrung from us, by cowards and criminals.
Five years later this country's wound is still open.
Five years later this country's mass grave is still unmarked.
Five years later this is still just a background for a photo-op.
It is beyond shameful.
At the dedication of the Gettysburg Memorial -- barely four months after the last soldier staggered from another Pennsylvania field -- Mr. Lincoln said, "we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ground. Lincoln used those words to immortalize their sacrifice.
Today our leaders could use those same words to rationalize their reprehensible inaction. "We cannot dedicate, we can not consecrate, we can not hallow this ground." So we won't.
Instead they bicker and buck pass. They thwart private efforts, and jostle to claim credit for initiatives that go nowhere. They spend the money on irrelevant wars, and elaborate self-congratulations, and buying off columnists to write how good a job they're doing instead of doing any job at all.
Five years later, Mr. Bush, we are still fighting the terrorists on these streets. And look carefully, sir, on these 16 empty acres. The terrorists are clearly, still winning.
And, in a crime against every victim here and every patriotic sentiment you mouthed but did not enact, you have done nothing about it.
And there is something worse still than this vast gaping hole in this city, and in the fabric of our nation. There is its symbolism of the promise unfulfilled, the urgent oath, reduced to lazy execution.
The only positive on 9/11 and the days and weeks that so slowly and painfully followed it was the unanimous humanity, here, and throughout the country. The government, the President in particular, was given every possible measure of support.
Those who did not belong to his party -- tabled that.
Those who doubted the mechanics of his election -- ignored that.
Those who wondered of his qualifications -- forgot that.
History teaches us that nearly unanimous support of a government cannot be taken away from that government by its critics. It can only be squandered by those who use it not to heal a nation's wounds, but to take political advantage.
Terrorists did not come and steal our newly-regained sense of being American first, and political, fiftieth. Nor did the Democrats. Nor did the media. Nor did the people.
The President -- and those around him -- did that.
They promised bi-partisanship, and then showed that to them, "bi-partisanship" meant that their party would rule and the rest would have to follow, or be branded, with ever-escalating hysteria, as morally or intellectually confused, as appeasers, as those who, in the Vice President's words yesterday, "validate the strategy of the terrorists."
They promised protection, and then showed that to them "protection" meant going to war against a despot whose hand they had once shaken, a despot who we now learn from our own Senate Intelligence Committee, hated al-Qaida as much as we did.
The polite phrase for how so many of us were duped into supporting a war, on the false premise that it had 'something to do' with 9/11 is "lying by implication."
The impolite phrase is "impeachable offense."
Not once in now five years has this President ever offered to assume responsibility for the failures that led to this empty space, and to this, the current, curdled, version of our beloved country.
Still, there is a last snapping flame from a final candle of respect and fairness: even his most virulent critics have never suggested he alone bears the full brunt of the blame for 9/11.
Half the time, in fact, this President has been so gently treated, that he has seemed not even to be the man most responsible for anything in his own administration.
Yet what is happening this very night?
A mini-series, created, influenced -- possibly financed by -- the most radical and cold of domestic political Machiavellis, continues to be televised into our homes.
The documented truths of the last fifteen years are replaced by bald-faced lies; the talking points of the current regime parroted; the whole sorry story blurred, by spin, to make the party out of office seem vacillating and impotent, and the party in office, seem like the only option.
How dare you, Mr. President, after taking cynical advantage of the unanimity and love, and transmuting it into fraudulent war and needless death, after monstrously transforming it into fear and suspicion and turning that fear into the campaign slogan of three elections? How dare you -- or those around you -- ever "spin" 9/11?
Just as the terrorists have succeeded -- are still succeeding -- as long as there is no memorial and no construction here at Ground Zero.
So, too, have they succeeded, and are still succeeding as long as this government uses 9/11 as a wedge to pit Americans against Americans.
This is an odd point to cite a television program, especially one from March of 1960. But as Disney's continuing sell-out of the truth (and this country) suggests, even television programs can be powerful things.
And long ago, a series called "The Twilight Zone" broadcast a riveting episode entitled "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street."
In brief: a meteor sparks rumors of an invasion by extra-terrestrials disguised as humans. The electricity goes out. A neighbor pleads for calm. Suddenly his car -- and only his car -- starts. Someone suggests he must be the alien. Then another man's lights go on. As charges and suspicion and panic overtake the street, guns are inevitably produced. An "alien" is shot -- but he turns out to be just another neighbor, returning from going for help. The camera pulls back to a near-by hill, where two extra-terrestrials are seen manipulating a small device that can jam electricity. When those who dissent are told time and time again -- as we will be, if not tonight by the President, then tomorrow by his portable public chorus -- that he is preserving our freedom, but that if we use any of it, we are somehow un-American...When we are scolded, that if we merely question, we have "forgotten the lessons of 9/11"... look into this empty space behind me and the bi-partisanship upon which this administration also did not build, and tell me:
Who has left this hole in the ground?
We have not forgotten, Mr. President.

It's one of those days again...one of those days that I feel the need to reflect on things...life the world...etc... It's good though I enjoy it. You notice the image for today isn't some cutsie character..lol..But you know it's not good to talk about things that are always light at heart...Sometimes you should delve deeper. Do you agree?
Earlier , thoughts of life and(our) the human beings place in life came to my head; We're certanily not God's , but we're not beasts either..I've come to these conclusions..bear with me the ideas i had are scattered but they make sense if you pay close attention.. i think..


A "dog" is a dog only when its in its mature form ..it's not a "true dog" when it is a puppy? Correct? Because then it is known as a puppy...

Another example is a tree.. when the tree is a shrub on the ground, or it's a seedling..its not a tree in our minds eye..it is whatever it is at the stage of its existence...i know deeeep..lol..not really just keep reading..I wrote this down earlier so I wouldn't forget where my mind was going...

This is where it got complicated..
What is a human being in its "mature" form?? really..?
okay i've decided that we as human's can all agree that a human being has (1)a body correct? A form? yes? yes.
and we can also agree that all human beings, have a (2)mind, regardless of how it great, or corrupted it can be. yes.. (Don't worry this gets somewhere...)
so finally I think at large we can surely all agree that the human being has(3) a spirit..in whatever nature or form you describe it as ..it exists...we can agree on that..
yes?
So we have come to the conclusion that the human being possesses these three concepts..
Well then.. the question again...what is a human being in it's mature form?

I think like my professor had explained it's when all 3 of these human attributes have matured...not when 1 is..or 2...but ALL 3!

Society has a way of giving examples of these kinds of human beings..they are rare but they exist..sometimes in folklore, other times in religion. I gave the examples of ;for muslims Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)...and for the Daoists... Confucious..or Socrates for the greeks and much of the rest of the world... So another thing I was thinking , we can come to the conclusion that when the human is an adult THAT is when (1) has matured...right? That one was a give away...but I have also decided that (2) never fully matures in the same sense that (1) matures..but it matures in its own way by realizing just that! Your mind matures when you realize that it should and will grow and expand until death;it matures in a sense ,when you realize that you can go far with expanding this knowledge..yet keep in mind that another can and WILL always go farther! But, one will never reach the end?
Like this, A runner can beat a record maybe the 100 mtr dash, in 9.0 seconds right? Well the next year some 1 will beat it with 8.9? Right? Always faster..always growing.. the number will dwindle each year...and each win a new man/woman will take the trophy...eventually someone will beat you.. We can all agree on that. BUT will anyone ever go 0.0sec? We can easily agree on no...where is time , then? ugh..nevermind...i've reached my limit on explaining this question because then we'll be getting into the laws of physics...and i never liked that course..

Okay so we can understand the maturity of the mind...But finally what is the spirit's maturest stage?? Does it have one... Any man can explain it his/her own way I have decide that it is when we have become truly "just" individuals. Proud Humilty , you can call it...

Realizing that The Sun :Earth , as Good is to the soul! If there was darkness and no Sun..nothing will grow...When there is no light from the Good, our soul will die...right?.or atleast become a dark place where nothing can survive. Also another similarity is ..when we look at the Sun and try to see its perfect shape through our naked eyes...We get burned! The same goes for Goodness. When one strives for goodness in their soul, all is well...but when we try to see or become goodness in its entirety...we go mad! Because we can never be perfect..we will always have to strive for it..but never try to BECOME it /

Did that make any sense?

yea well i hope it did , im not going to attempt to re-read any of it...my brain hurts..I've decided I've reached my limit today on philosophical thought... but I ALSO have allowed you all to attempt to EXPAND on this idea/thought/knowledge ...because i know you can only help expand on this small idea of mine?

You ever had a song that you loved and can't stop listening to. I love that song by the fray, ok? its great. I hope i don't over-listen to it...and then start to hate it...oh god forbid! hahah...looser...yeah well its that way with me and some songs, i love them , love them , love them! then its like "eh...ok"ugh i hate that, i hate when a good song falls from grace because i listen to it like 1000 times!!!! AHHH.... i'm gonna try to listen to this song in intervals.. like maybe 1nce a day...NO...3 times a day , and lets say if i HAPPEN to hear it while scanning the radio stations..or somehow sign into my blog and see it on my page...then those times don't count. okay...well if you wanna hear it its over there to your right..on "FAV SONG" or whatever i called that link...thing..okay moving on.. I LOVE FAMILY GUY! i haven't seen it in a while but then i came across it yesterday and ohhhh the memories of my infatuation with that show just starting pouring in..... Its like my "signature" dish. (meaning i can't make anything else...atleast not anything else thats edible...) it doesn't have a name i made it up myself.lol. well anyway, its made with Orzo pasta mixed in with lemon pepper, chives, feta cheese, grey poupan, and red, yellow, green peppers. Its like a cold pasta salad...and on the side you your baked salmon w/ cilantro...et, voila! Bon appetit! I KNOW! Thats sooo not me...but hey; u know like my mom says "if you can't make anything else, atleast you can make 1 thing reaaaally good" hahah ;)

ugh..i can't tell you how mind racking it is when your professor refuses to post grades online...I mean Im sure she will .. but its taking her FOREVERRRRRRRRRR! god...i mean shitt...(breathe) ...i feel a little better ..okay..anyway it was just a quiz we took online and a mini discussion posting..but i mean we took it last week lady get it together!
i apologize, i'm usually rather patient but when it comes to grades...I need 2 know them...

anyway, i think its an A but i want to see that letter on the screen...
if i send her an email , i think she'll be annoyed...i dont wanna get on her bad side...so i'll have to just find some other way 2 deal... i mean what the hell else can i do..goddammit...
anyway..yeah Oh and its this "FEMNIST THEORY" class...i mean its not as bad as I thought it would be...i mean i guess feminists have a point the whole "equality" thing...but i just don't get why they have to define equal by "being able to do every single damned thing a man does"...thats lame...i mean ofcourse majority of the things "yes" but i mean, shitt if you've read some of the bogus essays i've read in some journals...the only thing u'd be thinking is "wtf?" some are crazzy ...but some postmodern 3rd generation feminists ...make a lot of damn sense. yes so this class im taking is pretty cool...in fact it has me reading this book by a Zimbawean (<--does that look right?) writer named Maraire..the book is called "Zenzele" ..god i recommend that to all of you, seriously..okay i'm done for now...

what a refreshing day! I started my political science class this morning, since i wasn't in attendance last week due to a change in schedule..but u don't need to hear all of that junk. Anyway, so this is what it is , I really think i will enjoy this class. It seems amazing. Oh and by the way my major is Gov. Poli Sci, but I plan on getting into law school after this Bach. (God willing). Anyway my prof. seems so into what he's talking about. You know that sttange phenomenon when you're in a class and you feel like you've ACTUALLY learned something worth knowing..yeah i know, very rare. Oh and guess what! on our assigned reading list we're reading "the republic"...

Jap Prof.-"Prof. why do you believe that America has always had this devoting attachment to the idea of progress, why do you all assume things will just keep getting better"?

Well my prof. said he was thinking about it for a minute but then his answer was ..

My Prof.-"Well in a way I believe it has a lot to do with technological expansion ..but that couldn't be all of it..What do you think"?

;) ( Always a good save if you don't know what the hell the answer is!" ...but in his case he did, he just wanted to see what the other guy though...lol..i know..but he did, in his case okay?

Jap Prof.-" I think it has something to do with Christianity.." "

???Why does it have to get into religion man??? lol..no im kidding...but this is where it started getting "interesting"

My Prof .-" Go on.."

Jap Prof.- "Well, as you know before christianity there was a cyclic mentality that today still my Japanese and many of the non-christian world shares...the rise and fall of empires roman, greek, persian..etc...but then ""Christ"" came..and SUDDENLY the mind-set changed ! Instead of this cycle of life, rise and fall, what was expected was a constant progressive graduation ...the idea that things could only get better...the idea of CHRIST and then the end of civilization...doomsday...so progression is stuck in the mindset of all americans and basically a lot of the christian world. Instead of the old "cyclic" mental frame , you adopted a new ""linear"" form of progress.

wow wow...give the man a hand here?? Quel explanation?? God that just made perfect sense , am i right?

My Prof- "You know , thats a perfect explanation, i couldn't do better"


Anyway...today I'll leave you with that thought...nice class right? Good way to start the semester :)

hey guess what , the proffessor completely understood. this is great, and plus i found out whenever we get done with our project each day, we can just up and leave..just like whenever..isnt that just stupendous???!!!

Okay, so another day...don't expect me to be posting everyday cuz i just don't do that...as much as i enjoy routine...its hard for me to actually get "into" anything, and keep it up! okay so what happened today..actually just a few minutes ago...my art professor was expecting me last wednesday when i added the class , to get my enrollement form signed and return to class that day...okay, the class is like 3 HOURS long and when i came in to get the slip signed I told her I'd be back right? wrong. I didn't come back, i was hungry :( I didn't have breakfast that morning and it was only 11:30 when I was supposedly supposed to get back... 2+ more hours of drawing....I didnt think so...it wasnt gonna happen..uh uh, no way.come on?. So now today is the next day for classes...i wrote her a letter last wed, stating i had a "problem" with my schedule so thats why i didn't return..(bs)...but anyway she bought it, but i was supposed to get my art supplies..for today...I couldn't find the damn store that i was looking for that "supposedly" carried the "art kit" that ofcourse the class just couldn't do without..oh and did i mention the kit costs $58 bucks...oh yeah, but that isnt the main problemo...its the fact that I COULDNT FIND THAT store...ugh..uff...damn, man...I'm screwed and my class is at 11...talk about being lazy..i had since last thursday, to get this friggin art kit or whatever the hell its called...i hate this...i hate being unprepared...but with all my procrastinating ..u'd think i would get used to it...ugh..what an idiot i am...

Here it is, take it! Where do i begin.....
It was when I was seated on the couch at the far end of the house that the "thoughts" came into my head. I was splayed out actually, not so much seated on this brown couch, not exactly tired , but certainly not feeling energetic; it seems I'm always in that state. Anyway, I was home alone, again, and "Party Just Begun" by Nelly Furtado was playing quietly in the kitchen and that was when the thoughts started pouring in. Sort of all at once like water pouring into a glass. What is this thing we call life? What is this thing in which we are bound and cannot escape? We can run all night and day in the confines of this earth, or even in our minds and we will have yet to get a glimpse of an understanding of this question.Life. Its here, I'm in it right now; I was thinking. Its just weird.This dillema? What a dillema it is. I am muslim and so I understand this life, and I know what my instinct tells me , but still its all so much to take in when we think of it even a little. So its here, and I'm living it, and you're living it, but it binds us, yet we are free at the same time?Is that it? What is this thing? This "thing" that pulls us out one by one, or even in groups, but when we reach whatever destination there is on "the other side" we are alone. Its so amazing and so bizzare in a way. It scares me, and makes me sad, but those feelings are fleeting because What does it matter if you're scared, or happy about it, you're leaving either way, and every day you're waiting for something tragic. Either you'll leave or someone you love will leave, or just anyone will leave. I mean who cares, its still someone, its still a human with feelings, and connections, and they could have been here yesterday, but they're not now. Its like a gamble everyday. You ask yourself , who is next? Is it me ? Is it my friend? My mom? My co-worker? Its so strange when you think of it like this, I can't help but think of it like this. Or even how will I go? What way? So many ways there is. Some people want to go in their sleep. It doesn't matter you go one way or another. These questions don't depress me so much, they just makes me feel somewhat tired, in my head. Everyday, these thoughts pass through my mind. I sometimes ask myself, "out of everyone you know, who will go first?" It's not even a depressing question to me anymore, its like a daily question. Like what's for breakfast? Whats there to do? I look at people and thats what I think. It doesn't make me sad. Its just another question. Where are we going? I know, but I dont know.. Another thing I wonder is why do we pretend like we won't die? Why do we as humans play it down so much. I mean i know why; we're afraid, why be so depressed all the time about it?But I think maybe all these things going on, these jumble of things, these occurences, wars, education, houses, bills, fashion, Ipods, music etc, I think they're all ways to keep your mind, to keep our mind ,off of what really is EVERYTHING! Life/Death. Its there whether you want it, or you like it or you hate it, or you want it to get better, or you; whatever! Its there you know. I dont know, nevermind.You know its funny my name is Hayat. Life. So, yeah. I hate these questions, its not like I expect an answer, I just want to ask it for the sake of asking and generating thoughts. I don't know what Life is, its weird. Its very weird. I just don't know. I'm done typing for today...so there...
